Artist Residencies October and November 2026: 12 Funded Opportunities

Fall is when the residency landscape opens back up in a serious way. The summer programs are wrapping, applications for next year are launching, and some of the most prestigious fellowships in the country close their doors between now and the end of November. Artist residencies October and November 2026 include fully funded programs at the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art, Arts Omi, MASS MoCA, and the Banff Centre - alongside more intimate studio residencies in Nebraska, North Carolina, Morocco, France, and Portugal.
This list runs 28 programs across two months. Some are for researchers and scholars. Some are for movement artists specifically. Several are internationally based. A few have no stipend listed but cover housing, studio, and time - which for many artists is the whole point.
Read the eligibility carefully. Deadlines start October 1.
Remember:
Read the full guidelines - Requirements can change from year to year.
Check eligibility - Career stage, discipline, and location requirements vary widely.
