November 17: Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants - One-time grants up to $5,000 for artists dealing with a recent medical, dental, or mental health emergency. Open to visual, media, and choreographic artists in financial need.

November 30: Beam Camp Project Open Call - Pitch a large-scale project that gets built with young people at Beam Camp in New Hampshire. The selected artist gets a $5,000 award plus a $15,000 fabrication budget, and architects can apply too.

December 1: NEFA Public Art for Spatial Justice - $15,000 to $30,000 for Massachusetts-based artists and community groups making public art about fairer, more open public space. Projects can run up to two years starting March 2027.

Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant - Need-based support for painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper. You need to be actively showing work to qualify.
Ready to Apply? Choosing Your Work Samples
Your work samples do a lot of the talking before anyone reads your proposal. A strong set makes a panel lean in, and a messy one makes them move on. Here's how to pick the right pieces.
📌 Pro Tip: Choosing Your Work Samples
Lead with your strongest piece. Panels often spend the most time on the first image, so open with the work you're proudest of.
Match the samples to the grant. Applying for public art money? Show public or large-scale work, even if it's sketches or renderings.
Show one clear body of work. Five related pieces read stronger than ten that don't connect.
Label everything. Add the title, year, medium, and size for each image so nobody has to guess.
Check the file rules twice. The wrong size or format can get an application tossed before anyone looks at it.
