Before you Go, Take This With You
Juneteenth marks the day the last enslaved people in America finally received the news of their freedom, a freedom that had already been won, but was withheld. That history asks something of us every year: to show up, to remember, and to choose each other. With the summer solstice right around the corner and the longest days of the year ahead, there's something fitting about celebrating in the light. Love is abundant right now. It's also a choice, one this community makes every time we gather, create, and hold space for one another. However you move through this weekend, carry that with you.
